This morning, the Honolulu Star-Advertiser reaffirmed their earlier support of my re-election to the Honolulu City Council!
Four years ago, when the Star-Advertiser endorsed me in my first bid for public office, they recognized that I offered a "fresh, independent voice, while being well-versed in constituents' needs, and [that my] election would best serve the voters."
I'm proud to be recognized for being responsive to our community's various needs from Ala Moana to Hawaii Kai.
During my first term on the Honolulu City Council, I focused on everyday issues that matter most to District 4 families -- seeking to streamline and improve core city services, opposing new taxes and fees as well as an increase in property taxes, and ultimately working towards a more vibrant and thriving Honolulu.
From the numerous honks my team and I receive while sign waving every day, to the many calls, texts, emails, and letters of encouragement that I receive daily, I am humbled by the outpouring of support for my re-election to the Honolulu City Council.
I appreciate your continued support and vote on November 6th.
